Below is a … WebJan 30, 2013 · It has been leaking for awhile. When this valve does release high pressure, it dumps it back in the bottom of the case in the oil reservoir. That in turn is pressurizing the entire case. I see why there are so many bolts in the top and bottom covers. I don't see a vent of any kind in the case.

Take the lid off of a margarine container,cut it to fit around the bolt hole by 1/8th inch,cut the bolt hole and install,snug the bolt in,don't over tighten and that should end the leak. I even used a piece of inner tube to make one for a hydraulic filter,it doesn't leak anymore either.

You can run the engine briefly, like the operator's manual says, to empty the tubes. You have to remove the tubes to remove the pump from the engine.
