So you're really only doing it for the loot, and so its highly unlikely that you only had to beat them once. Also try slamming the spawns into the ground, it makes it more managable. Usually by dashing under them while near ground.
WebI'm playing calamity and during both of the Astral boss fights and the pillars my audio would cut out and only music would play.
